About us
CESIS was established as a research centre in 2004 with main basic funding from VINNOVA. In 2010 CESIS was again awarded the status of a Centre of Excellence by VINNOVA, with the overall assessment “Outstanding at the forefront of international research”.
According to the worldwide REPEC-system CESIS ranks high in terms of research output and research impact. CESIS is among the top 5 % institutions in the world focused on innovation research.
CESIS is funded by the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA), KTH and JIBS. The centre is an organised collaboration the Division of economics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Jönköping International Business School (JIBS).
